In the edit
Think of it as a photography studio, but for 3D objects. Adobe Substance 3D Stager is the staging and rendering app where you bring in models, materials, and lights — either from Painter, Designer, or Sampler, or from the included starter content — and then arrange everything into a final scene. You can switch between real-time rendering and ray tracing to see how the light behaves, then export the result as an image, web content, or an AR asset.
- Assemble 3D scenes with imported or included models, materials, and lights.
- Use snapping, physics, and simple shapes to position objects quickly.
- Switch between real-time preview and ray-traced output as you work.
- Export final images, web content, and AR-ready assets from the same scene.
- Import files directly from Adobe Substance 3D Painter, Designer, and Sampler.
- Works on Intel Macs running macOS 11 or later.
If you already work with Substance 3D tools, Stager is the place where it all comes together into a final shot. If you are new to 3D staging, the included models and materials give you something to start with straight away.
